Jira Integration Now Live!

This month, we're thrilled to introduce an integration with Jira. Common Fate’s end users can now easily tag their Jira tickets by using @<ticket name> in the “Reason for Access” section when requesting access.

To make this process even smoother, we've implemented an autocomplete feature that suggests relevant matching Jira tickets as you type. Plus, an activity log will be automatically recorded within the corresponding Jira ticket, keeping everything organized and transparent.

Blast Radius in the Cloud

The blast radius metaphor is useful for communicating with business and management stakeholders the gravity and potential impact of their decisions. Put simply, blast radius is the worst-case scenario for something going wrong: If this blew up, what would be impacted?

Common Fate v2.7

Common Fate now supports reason pattern matching validation in access workflows. We’ve also significantly enhanced the filtering capabilities on both the Requests and My Requests pages. Users will now find attached reasons describing why access request grants were closed.

Improvements

• Added the ability to specify an override for the RDS endpoint per RDS user, allowing read roles to use a read-only replica endpoint.
• Fixed an issue where access requests with many entitlements attached would not deprovision correctly.
• Fixed a performance issue which could cause the Availability Maker background job to fail.
• Removed the assign public IP feature on the control plane for improved security.
